VANAMAHOTHSAVA DAY
Vanamahotsava is an annual tree-planting festival in India,
celebrated on 5th June and even in the first week of July.
During this event millions of trees are planted. “Trees mean
water, water means bread and bread means life”. And thus this
celebration was conducted in our school by Mr. Anand. G.V. as a
M. C., who first helped us to seek the blessings of God through
a prayer song by our staffs. We had our Principal Fr. Dancy
Martis, Vice Principal Fr. Lancy Rebello and Miss. Jayshree as
Chief Guest. Mrs. Supriya gave a hearty welcome to all the
guest, staffs and children. Mrs. Anitha explained us the value
of environment and avoid pollution and mean time our respected
Principal Fr. Dancy Martis also gave us some points and guidance
“How to save our environment”. Grow plants for some certain
reasons. Later Miss. Usha thanked each one of them for their
presence and co-operation during the programme. Finally Fr.
Dancy Martis our Principal along with 8th std students planted
some plants in the school campus as a respect and love for
environment and also asked to love the nature.
